History
The idea of the hotel project began in 1995, when the OAO Moskva Krasnye Holmy was established to develop a business complex called "Riverside Towers", located on the eastern tip of the Kremlin Island. The main shareholders of this joint stock company are ENKA Holding and the Moscow City Government.
The hotel construction was designed by Russian architects TTA, with the participation of international architect firm Woods Bagot. For the interior design, the work of interior design company BBG-BBGM was selected. BBG-BBGM is internationally recognized as one of the leaders in the design of hotels, spas, restaurants and other hospitality projects.
The Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy Moscow was the tallest hotel building in Moscow when it was completed in 2005. The building features 34 stories. Its design is influenced by geometries, with its circular tower being paired with a stepped, rectilinear podium.
After the opening in 2005, Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy Moscow was named "The Best Design Hotel" by Lodging Hospitality Magazine.
